36 x 36나는 동물에 대한 감정이입으로부터 “동정적 수단”을 그리기 시작했다. 동물이 지닌 힘이나 자아 등에 대해 고민하면서 말이다. 회화는 복잡한 삶을 표현하는 방식으로서 형체를 그리는 행위다.
In Sympathetic Mean I started with my empathy for animals - trying to consider the agency or selfhood in animals. The painting was a way of drawing a form as a rendering of a complex life.
